COMPLAINTS AND APPEALS POLICY
Annals of Education is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and ethical publication process. The journal welcomes legitimate complaints and appeals relating to editorial decisions, peer review, publication procedures, ethical concerns, or other aspects of the publishing process.
Submission of Complaints
Authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders may submit a complaint to the journal regarding matters related to the editorial or publication process. Complaints should be clearly stated, supported by relevant information, and submitted through the journal's official communication channel.
Appeals Against Editorial Decisions
Authors may appeal an editorial decision when they believe that a significant error, misunderstanding, procedural issue, or relevant information may have affected the decision. Appeals should provide a clear explanation and, where applicable, supporting evidence.
An appeal does not guarantee reversal of the original decision. The editorial team may seek additional expert advice or review when considered necessary.
Handling of Complaints
All complaints and appeals will be considered fairly, objectively, and confidentially. The journal will make reasonable efforts to investigate concerns and provide an appropriate response within a reasonable timeframe.
Ethical and Publication Concerns
Complaints involving plagiarism, research misconduct, authorship disputes, conflicts of interest, peer-review concerns, or other ethical issues will be reviewed in accordance with the journal's relevant policies and established publication-ethics principles.
Editorial Independence
Complaints and appeals will be handled independently and without discrimination. No individual involved in a complaint will be permitted to improperly influence the review or resolution of the matter.
Final Decision
After appropriate consideration, the Editor-in-Chief and/or authorized editorial authority will communicate the final outcome of an appeal or complaint. Decisions made following a proper review process may be considered final.
Commitment to Fairness
Annals of Education is committed to resolving complaints and appeals in a fair, transparent, respectful, timely, and confidential manner, while protecting the integrity of the scholarly record.
