SELF-ARCHIVING POLICY

Annals of Education supports responsible self-archiving to promote the accessibility, dissemination, and long-term availability of scholarly research while respecting applicable copyright and licensing conditions.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors may deposit permitted versions of their manuscripts in suitable institutional repositories, subject repositories, academic archives, or personal academic websites, provided that such sharing complies with the journal's applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Permitted Versions

Where permitted by the applicable publishing agreement, authors may archive:

  • The accepted manuscript after peer review and necessary revisions.
  • The published version, where the applicable license or copyright agreement allows such distribution.

Repository Requirements

Authors should provide appropriate bibliographic information and, where available, a link or reference to the officially published version of the article. The original publication should always be properly acknowledged.

Copyright and Licensing

Self-archiving rights are subject to the copyright and licensing terms applicable to each article. Authors must not transfer, reproduce, or distribute content in a manner that conflicts with those terms.

Responsible Sharing

Authors are encouraged to use reputable repositories and academic platforms for sharing their research. Any archived version should remain accurate and should not misrepresent the official published record.

Policy Updates

Annals of Education may periodically review and update this policy to reflect changes in copyright, licensing, repository practices, and scholarly communication standards.
