Originality

All manuscripts submitted to Annals of Education must be original and must represent the authors' own scholarly work. Authors must properly acknowledge and cite all sources, ideas, data, text, figures, and other material obtained from previous work.

Plagiarism Screening

Submitted manuscripts may be screened using appropriate plagiarism-detection tools as part of the editorial and peer-review process. The journal may also conduct additional checks whenever concerns regarding originality arise.

Forms of Plagiarism

Plagiarism may include, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text or ideas without proper acknowledgment.
  • Presenting another person's work as one's own.
  • Excessive or inappropriate use of previously published material.
  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication without appropriate disclosure.
  • Unauthorized use or reproduction of figures, tables, images, or other copyrighted material.

Action on Plagiarism

If plagiarism or significant overlap is identified, the manuscript may be rejected, returned for clarification or revision, or subjected to further investigation, depending on the nature and severity of the concern.

For plagiarism identified after publication, Annals of Education may issue a correction, retraction, or other appropriate editorial action to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.

Author Responsibility
